Foxy
Feeling a little foxy? This one's for you! I really enjoy the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge. Lots of fun images to work with. I'm trying to keep up with the fabulous ladies who post cards on the Create: Blog, but it's hard to keep up with so much talent out there. For now, I enjoy trying to keep up and learn from everyone as I go along!

Flags
Hello! I know it's been a while. So much going on in the end of summer and the beginning of school. But, I'm back into the Cards Challenge! Here's a card I made for the Create Blog toothpick flag challenge. The flags add great dimension and are a fun homemade embellishment. I tried half a rosette on this to see how it might work. Hope you like it!

Accordion Flowers and Vacation!
Here's a birthday card I made inspired by the create: blog challenge for Accordion Paper Flowers. I actually find that these rosette's are not that easy to make. You need good quick drying glue and patience (of which I have little). But, I love the look. I tried putting glitter on the edges to give them a bit of sparkle. In hindsight, I would have border punched the red strip in the background as well. I gave my leaves some dimension putting using pop-up dots. The happy birthday sentiment was cut on my Cricut with Gypsy Font.
We're off to the cabin for the week! I'm looking forward to getting away. I'm not bringing any scrapbooking supplies because there's just not room, but definitely am bringing my Scrapbooks Etc. magazines. I hope to take many pictures to scrap later and will be back to card making in a week!
I hope everyone has a fun and safe Fourth of July weekend!

Bling Bling
Here's a card I made using flower jewels and Basic Grey gems. I love the bouquet look it gave me and it's super sparkly! I'm submitting this for the Create: Blog Cards Challenge.
Here's another one I made inspired by the upcoming holiday.
I tried to use the Making Memories gems to create a fireworks look. I don't have a sewing machine so I drew stitch lines around the border.

Father's Day Layout
Here is a layout I did for the Create:blog Father's Day Challenge. I love showcasing my husband (as he's very handsome). But, especially him with our girls. They always have so much fun together. Instead of using flowers I created circles with thread and buttons. I tried to capture some of the things they like to do together - playing the Wii, relaxing on the hammock, and the middle picture was taken on the seashore in Livorno, Italy.

Father's Day Card-Weave
I made this Father's Day card inspired by the create: blog challenge for cards with weaving. I didn't enter the challenge but was so inspired by all of the beautiful cards that were posted. For this I used four different pattern paper scraps that I had. I was wondering how the patterns would come together, but I really like the dimension it gives the card. I stamped the "Happy" and cut the "Dad's day" from the Cricut Designer's Calendar cartridge. My husband loved the card, too! =-)

These cards were my first attempt at participating in the create: blog cards challenge for Cards with Waves. I saw the challenge and came home and cranked out these two cards. They were fun to make and it was so much fun to see my card posted on the blog!! Now I'm slightly addicted to challenges and enjoy the inspiration I get from seeing all of the other posts.
